Next Steps

Each Sunday we celebrate the good news of the gospel together. We’d love for you to join us for a service! We want you to know what you can expect before you come for a service. Where are we located? Where should you park? Where do your kids go? What should you wear? What’s our music like? Get those answers and more.

A place doesn’t really feel like home until you’ve made a personal connection with someone does it? We want to help you get connected and learn more about us so that CBC can start to feel like home to you.

Every single one of us has a problem: sin. The Bible says there’s only one solution to the problem: Jesus. God sent his only son, Jesus, to come to earth, live the perfect life we should have lived, die the sacrificial death we should have died, and rise from the grave. If we simply put our faith in Christ’s work on our behalf, and not in our own works,, the Bible says God will save us.

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer, someone who has already placed their trust in Jesus, in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his/her faith in the final resurrection of the dead.

Just starting out? Our Intro to Calvary Class gives people new to CBC a chance to learn about our church and what we believe, meet some of our leadership team, and ask questions. After coming for a service, this is your first step towards getting plugged in at CBC! This is a great chance for you to learn more about us and what it would look like to become a part of our family.

Real growth happens in community. And Life Groups are where community happens. They’re where the real ministry of the church takes place as we study God’s Word while supporting and sharing our lives with one another. We believe that meeting together on a regular basis is time well spent.

We see membership as the public recognition of and identification with the responsibilities that accompany belonging to the body of Christ. This is in stark contrast to the “benefit” mindset of a country club, which is characterized by a “What’s in it for me?” mentality. Essentially, should you decide to join, you are “owning up” to the responsibility of being part of this body.

We often talk about our three key values: to celebrate, grow, and serve. As you are a part of our church family, we encourage you to be involved by serving in our ministries. We have many different areas for you to get plugged in that will allow you to use your gifts and talents to serve God and others.

We embrace the mission left to us by Jesus by 1) planting churches 2) partnering with others, and 3) powerfully witnessing as individuals. These three thrusts comprise the bulk of our outreach strategy. Reaching the lost is a key aspect of CBC.

We’re always on the lookout for the next ministry leader, deacon, or elder. True leadership at CBC is one of serving the mission of Christ, with everything pointing back to disciples making disciples who celebrate, grow, and serve for the glory of God.
